A chartered medical aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Ranchi on Monday evening, resulting in the deaths of all seven people. The plane was operating as an air ambulance and was en route to Delhi when it went down.

The aircraft departed from Birsa Munda Airport in the early evening. Within minutes of takeoff, communication with air traffic control was reportedly lost. Officials later traced the crash site to a forested stretch in Chatra district.

Authorities confirmed that the flight was transporting a patient requiring advanced medical treatment, along with medical personnel and flight crew members. Rescue teams faced difficulty reaching the site due to dense forest terrain, but emergency responders were deployed immediately after the aircraft was lost from radar.

Initial assessments suggest the aircraft may have encountered technical complications, though the exact reason behind the crash will be determined after investigation. Aviation authorities have begun examining flight data and debris from the site.

The tragic incident has once again raised concerns about operational safety in non-scheduled medical and chartered aviation services across Jharkhand.
