The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday accused the Congress-led government in Karnataka of allegedly transferring valuable public properties at throwaway prices to facilitate the construction of Congress Bhavans across the state.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that prime government lands were being allotted at highly concessional rates, causing significant loss to the public exchequer. He alleged that the move reflects a pattern of corruption under Congress rule and said that “corruption follows wherever Congress goes.”

Bhatia further stated that public assets are meant for the welfare of citizens and development projects, not for strengthening a political party’s infrastructure. He demanded transparency in the allotment process and called for the details of land transfers to be made public.

The Congress party has not yet issued an official response to the allegations. The controversy is expected to intensify in the coming days as political tensions rise over the issue.
